Understand usage bars, refresh times and your plan.
Free and Gold usage
Free includes core research tools with usage limits. Gold provides increased usage limits and premium research capabilities. These apply to both existing accounts and new signups.
Read your usage bars
Open Gold in your dashboard to see Daily usage and Monthly usage. Each bar shows your percentage remaining and when usage refreshes. Individual tools are also subject to included usage limits.
Document previews, assessments and evidence reports share SCVS usage. Daily usage sits within your monthly usage. Failed requests do not use your allowance; moving between pages of the same search does not count as another search.
When usage is used
Wait until the displayed refresh time or review Gold for increased usage. Your profile, participation records and existing Research Vault files remain accessible. A payment never starts automatically.
