Profile, contact details and privacy

Edit your academic identity, add optional contact information, and understand how those details are used.

Before you start

Decide which academic identity and optional contact details you want associated with the account. Keep institutional names and research interests accurate.

Researcher rewards

Open the profile menu and choose Referral program to share your personal invitation and see successful referrals, those waiting to qualify and SVC earned. Both people qualify for 250 SVC after the referred researcher verifies their primary email and submits a conference abstract.

Keep your profile accurate

Open Profile and choose Edit profile to update your role, institution, research interests and optional identity details. Your account name is managed separately by the account settings. Save changes closes the editor after a successful update.

Phone and location are optional

The profile editor can store a phone number and a self-entered location so they appear in your account profile. Adding a number does not subscribe you to WhatsApp messages or grant messaging consent. Conference-specific contact preferences must be handled by the relevant workflow.

Review settings

Open Settings for available notification and workspace preferences. If you need help correcting or removing account information, contact support and identify the account and field involved without including passwords.

A practical example

Open Profile, choose Edit profile, update your institution and research interests, and save. Reopen the profile to check the result. Manage the account name through account settings when that field is handled there.

Check your result

The saved profile shows your intended academic details. Optional phone information does not grant messaging consent.

If something does not work

If a change is not visible, confirm the save succeeded and reopen the same account profile.

If an issued certificate needs a name correction, use the credential correction workflow separately.
