Invite researchers and earn ScholarVault Credits

Share your personal invitation and understand when both researchers qualify for 250 SVC.

Before you start

Sign in to your researcher account. Each account has a personal referral code. A referral reward is ScholarVault Credits (SVC), not cash or a Gold subscription.

Find and share your invitation

Open your profile menu and choose Referral program. On wider screens, the gift icon in the top bar also opens it. The invitation shows your code, successful referrals, referrals waiting to qualify and credits earned.

  1. Choose Copy code or Share invite.
  2. Send the invitation link to the researcher you want to invite. The link carries your referral code into sign-in.
  3. Ask them to use that invitation with their own account.

When the 250 SVC bonus qualifies

The invitation must be linked to the referred account. The new researcher must verify their primary email and successfully submit a conference abstract through the conference submission workflow. Both the inviter and the referred researcher then receive 250 SVC each.

A private draft, imported publication, saved conference or external tracker entry does not qualify. Acceptance of the abstract is not required; the submitted record is the meaningful research action.

  1. Use the invitation link to link the referral.
  2. Verify the primary account email.
  3. Submit the abstract to the intended conference edition.
  4. Reopen Referral program to check the updated reward status.

Understand the credits

SVC is an account credit balance. Referral credits do not activate Gold or represent a cash payment. Whether an operation deducts credits depends on its current charging mode; shadow metering records estimated usage without deducting the quoted cost.

A practical example

Asha sends her invitation link to Ravi. Ravi signs in through that link and verifies his email. Saving a draft leaves the referral waiting to qualify. When Ravi successfully submits a conference abstract, Asha and Ravi each qualify for 250 SVC. Repeating the status check does not create a second reward.

If a reward is still waiting

Confirm that the correct invitation was linked, the primary email is verified and the abstract was submitted successfully through the official workflow. Reopen Referral program to refresh the status.

If the code is invalid, copy a fresh link from the inviter's Referral program. Self-referrals and accounts with an existing referral are rejected. If the status remains wrong, contact support with the account and submission reference; never include passwords.
