1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ScholarVault platform, including SCVS (ScholarVault Conference Verification System), ScholarVault Gold, and our API services. By registering for an account or using our services, you signify your acceptance of these Terms.

2. Description of Service

ScholarVault provides tools for academic intelligence, including automated verification of academic conferences, journals, and publishing entities. We use automated algorithms to assign "Trust Scores" and "Verified" status.

Disclaimer: While our algorithms achieve high accuracy, ScholarVault does not guarantee the absolute legitimacy or fraudulence of any entity. Our Trust Scores are probabilistic indicators meant to assist, not replace, institutional due diligence.

3. User Accounts & Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You agree not to use the platform for scraping, reverse engineering, or mass data extraction outside of designated API usage.

4. Paid Subscriptions (Gold & Enterprise)

ScholarVault Gold and Enterprise plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You may cancel your subscription at any time, but no refunds will be provided for partial months.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the platform, including the design, algorithms, Trust Score methodology, and verified database, is the intellectual property of ScholarVault. The "ScholarVault Verified" badge may only be used by conferences that have actively earned it and maintain a score above 85.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall ScholarVault, its directors, employees, or partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service or reliance on Trust Scores for publication decisions.
