Complete a review assignment

Open an assigned manuscript, handle conflicts, and submit a confidential review through the assigned workflow.

Before you start

Confirm the assigned conference edition, due date and conflict-of-interest requirements. Review documents are confidential.

Open your assignment

Reviewer access is tied to an invitation or assignment. Open the specific invitation or reviewer workspace after signing in with the intended account. Check the conference edition and review deadline before beginning.

Declare a conflict first

If you have a relationship or interest that could affect impartiality, declare it before accepting the assignment. Do not download or circulate a confidential manuscript outside the review process.

Submit the review

Use the review form and rubric attached to the assignment. Save or submit through the workflow shown there; private notes or a downloaded manuscript do not count as a submitted review.

  1. Read the assigned materials and rubric.
  2. Complete the required confidential responses.
  3. Check the submitted status before the deadline.

A practical example

After accepting an eligible assignment, work through the supplied rubric and submit the required fields. Reopen the assignment to confirm the submitted status; writing notes outside the form does not complete the review.

Check your result

The assigned workflow acknowledges the submitted review. A reviewer recommendation is distinct from the organizer's final decision.

If something does not work

If an assignment cannot be opened, use the account specified in the invitation and check whether the invitation has expired.

If you have a conflict or cannot meet the deadline, contact the editor or organizer through the assigned workflow before proceeding.
