Operate a conference edition
Understand the edition-based organizer workspace and the difference between invited, confirmed and pending people.
Before you start
Use the organizer account assigned to the edition. Confirm the edition name before changing public information or reviewing records.
Open the selected edition quickly
Select a conference in the organizer dashboard to bring its operational summary and Open operations / People applications actions near the top. Open operations takes you to the edition workspace; People applications opens that edition's applications.
In the acceptance-letter tools, review the generated letter before downloading it. On mobile, use the compact letter view and zoom to inspect details.
Start with the right edition
Organizer tools are available to accounts assigned to a conference. Select the correct edition before updating public content, applications, submissions, registrations or credentials. A series can have more than one edition with different dates and operating states.
People and public status
Speakers and committee members can be invited, confirmed or pending. An invitation is not a confirmed appearance. Review status and public visibility before a person's information appears on an event page.
- Add or invite the person in the correct edition.
- Record their actual response and status.
- Check the public page before sharing it.
Keep decisions traceable
Review applications and submissions in their dedicated workflows. Confirm the evidence for participation and roles before issuing a credential. Payment, review and credential actions have their own records and should not be inferred from a visual status alone.
A practical example
A speaker accepts an invitation. Record the response in the correct edition, update the actual status and visibility, then inspect the public event page. Sending an invitation alone does not mean the appearance is confirmed.
Check your result
The edition's operational record and public information accurately reflect the person's response and approved visibility.
If something does not work
If an edition is missing, confirm the account's assignment rather than using another edition as a substitute.
If public information is stale, verify the saved status and public visibility, then report the exact page and record to support.
